Welcome to the Flavel Blog!

Welcome to the Flavel Blog. We have a fantastic Autumn season ahead of us!

Highlights of our music programme include the return of three Flavel favourites, the fantastic classical pianist Cordelia Williams and the internationally renowned kora player Seckou Keita. Jazz pianist, Gwilym Simcock, is also back with the Trish Clowes quartet.

The Angel Exit Theatre will peform at the Flavel for the first time, with an original drama based on the life and times of Martha Brown – the last woman publicly hanged in Dorset and witnessed by a young Thomas Hardy.

An exciting new project by a local company - Encounters Arts, are working on a piece of devised theatre, capturing stories from local Grandmothers and we are delighted that one of the performances will be here.

We have a visit from one of Scotland’s best loved comedians, Fred MacAulay with his show 2015, as well as a new variety show from another Flavel favourite -  Slightly Fat Features. This will sell out really quickly so we recommend you buy your tickets early.

We have a special cinema experience retelling the story of the biggest aerial conflict of the Second World War ‘The Battle of Britain at 75’, as well as the popular regular live screenings from the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre
Why not try one of the delicious pre-show suppers in our café which are proving very popular.

There really is something for everyone in this varied programme. We hope to see you soon!
